New book will ‘defile’ aqidah?

The news bulletin last night quoted Hj Abdul Rahman Palil, Selangor State Exco for Islamic Affairs, making a police report and asking the Home Ministry to intervene with regards to a book proclaiming my shaykh as the Prince of Bani Tamim.

According to YB Hj Rahman Palil, amongst the content of the book is a “claim” by my shaykh that he “meets” the Holy Prophet and the Imam al-Mahdi in a state of wakefulness ( yaqazah ).

Maybe our Honourable Hj Rahman Palil should ask someone in JAIS to read to him “Hashiah al-Shanawani ‘ala Mukhtasar Ibnu Abi Jamrah lil Bukhari“, a text by Shaykh Muhammad b Ali Shanawani ( former rector of Al-Azhar University, 1812-1818) on the Abridgment of Shahih Imam al-Bukhari by Imam Ibnu Abi Jamrah. That is if he’s really interested in knowing the facts put forward by the Ahl al-Sunnah wal Jamaah concerning the matter of meeting the Holy Prophet (pbuh) in a state of wakefulness!

I understand that he may find it hard to comprehend meeting the Holy Prophet (pbuh) now since the Holy Prophet (pbuh) has wafat for a long time.

But meeting the Imam al-Mahdi too will defile one’s aqidah? So when the Imam al-Mahdi finally proclaims himself, we should all AVOID meeting him???

An interesting info I got of a Singaporean’s blog whereby he say about his teacher al-Arif billah Shaykh Hassan Cisse of Senegal

Shaykh Hassan Cisse also mentioned that he had sought Ijazah from Shaykh Ahmad Muhammad Abd-al-Jawwad, one of the Muhaddithin of the Haram al-Nabawi al-Sharif.He said that the Shaykh told him, “Let me consult with the Prophet (S.A.W) first between Maghrib and Esha.”

When Shaykh Hassan returned to the Shaykh in the Haram after Esha, Shaykh Abd-al-Jawwad said, “The Prophet (S.A.W.) says ‘ You are deserving of it’ “. Then he granted him the Ijazah
